Hess, Hanan


Son of David and Chana (Henshin) . Born in 1893 in Stuttgart, Germany, Hanan and his family immigrated to Israel and lived in Tel Aviv in 1933. His wife Aliza (Alice Johanna Hess) was a pianist and a piano teacher. During the Second World War, he joined the British Army and joined the Transport Corps on 15 Iyar, May 12, 1941. He was killed in a battle in Greece on the island of Crete and his burial place is unknown. He left a wife and two daughters. Another name – Hanoch.
