Hertz, Shmuel

Son of Moshe and Rachel. He was born on June 11, 1933 in Budapest, the capital of Hungary. He immigrated to Israel in 1949 (within the framework of “Hashomer Hatzair”) in Aliyah Bet. He was educated in a youth aliya in Kibbutz Dalia and after completing his studies he was accepted as a member. He completed compulsory military service in 1953, and then underwent various courses and finally a course of small warfare and parachuting. He was promoted to lieutenant. He fell in the line of duty on the 5th of Tevet 5709 (15.12.1958) and was brought to rest at the cemetery in Delia.
