Hershkowitz, Michael

Michael Hershkowitz, son of Gittel and Eli, was born in Romania in the city of Barilla on the 23rd of Adar (23.3.1930). He married on August 15, 1951. In October 1964 Michael immigrated to Israel with his family. Michael enlisted in the police in February 1965. During his service he participated in wars in 1967 and 1973. On the 16th of Adar I, 5738 (February 23, 1978), Master Sergeant Michael fell during his service. He was injured in an accident while traveling from Tiberias to Afula as part of his job. Forty-eight years old in his fall. He was buried in the cemetery in his city, Upper Nazareth. Survived by his wife, son, grandson and father.
