Son of Zahava (Golda) and Aharon, was born on January 15, 1928 in Bucharest, the capital of Romania. He graduated from his hometown. His parents’ home absorbed a traditional Jewish culture and enthusiastic Zionist education. Therefore, the joy of his parents was great when he informed them that he intended to realize the dream of Zionism and immigrate to Eretz Israel as part of the Youth Aliya. When he arrived in Israel in late 1944, he was sent to study at the Son of Shemen Agricultural School. When he completed his studies, he enlisted in the Nutrim corps and from there to the Palmach, where he had to deliver his parents’ address, but with the initial feeling that he would have to be informed of his fall in battle, he gave the address of other relatives who had already lived in Israel. After his only sister was killed in an accident, Israel was appointed as a medic in the Alexandroni Brigade and was awarded the rank of sergeant, and participated in many battles, including in the battles of Latrun and the breakthrough to Jerusalem. Where an Egyptian brigade was besieged, and the attack took place on the eastern flank of the “pocket” in the area of ​​Iraq al-Manshiyya. As the Sandroni broke into the village to the south and took control of its part, but their assault on the hill north of the village was repulsed.In the meantime, the Egyptians recovered, attacked and forced our forces to withdraw, and some of the force was captured in the village. ), With 89 other fighters of his company, who was buried by the Egyptians in a mass grave where they fell, and two years later the coffins of the fallen were laid to rest in the Nahalat Yitzhak Military Cemetery.
