Heller, Yosef-Dov


Son of Rabbi Avraham-Shmuel (Alter) and Yaffa. He was born on September 24, 1924 in Jerusalem. We will educate ourselves on Judaism and tradition. He studied at Yeshivah in Bene Beraq and Jerusalem and in a vocational school in Tel Aviv. Was a mechanic and behaved according to his profession. At the age of 17 he joined the Irgun and took part in the underground activity. He was a prisoner of Latrun and Atlit. After the establishment of the State of Israel he moved to the IDF and took part in the breakthrough to besieged Jerusalem, where he was one of the first conquerors of Eilat. He fell in the course of his duty on Friday, July 14, 1956, and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
