Hazran, Najem

Ben Shaharban and Morashad. He was born on May 20, 1969, in the village of Yirka. He studied in the elementary school and in the village’s comprehensive high school. Njam was drafted into the IDF in mid-May 1987 and assigned to the infantry, and was assigned to the infantry unit as a combat soldier. According to his commander, who is in his personal file, Najem was “a responsible, reliable and professional soldier.” On June 12, 1989, while he was in operational activity in Lebanon in the area north of Rosh Hanikra, Najem fell in the line of duty and was brought to rest in the cemetery in the village of Yirka. Survived by his parents and four brothers: Sefi, Subhi, Adwan and Anwar.
