Hazan, Ofir (Sunny)


Ben Sima and Abraham. Born on 19 July 1972 in Jerusalem, Ophir received his elementary education from his friends and lover Sonny at the Masada elementary school in his hometown. He continued his high school studies at the Denmark School , And completed his high school education at the Boyar School of Chemistry and Biology, where he began to swim at the age of seven, and when he grew up he served as a swimming instructor at the youth farm during summer vacations, and participated in many swimming competitions in Israel and abroad In Germany and Belgium, he loved football and traveled a lot in Israel, and Ophir, the third son of his family, was a lively and active boy who radiated love to his parents, to my brother He was a diligent student, and after completing his studies he completed his matriculation exams, but did not have time to receive the results.One week after the examinations in early August 1990, he enlisted in the IDF and volunteered for the naval commando unit. He was fit and served in the unit for about a year. During his service, he underwent a parachuting course and a course for auxiliary weapons. After that, he volunteered for a noncommissioned anti-terror course and successfully completed his life in a traffic accident on his way to the end of the course, during which he was killed during his service on January 23, 1992. He was brought to eternal rest in Beit- The military cemetery at Mount Herzl in Jerusalem left behind his parents and two sisters, Vered and Irit, and after his death, his commander testified that he was a disciplined, professional, responsible and clever soldier and would be in charge of the best.
