Hazan, David
Son of Frecha and Jacob, was born on April 13, 1928, in Haifa. When he finished elementary school, he went to work, worked as a construction worker, worked as a porter, and during the fruit season he sold watermelons. He was a cheerful, brave boy and his parents. David served a year as a guard in the vicinity of Zichron Yaakov, and later volunteered for the Haganah and filled various positions in the underground. He used to dress up as an Arab and managed very dangerous missions. As the situation worsened, he enlisted in full service in the Carmeli Brigade. He spent nights as days in positions of guard duty. Twice he was wounded in his right hand. On April 13, 1948, his 20th birthday, a few days before the liberation of the city, when he recovered from his wounds and was injured for the second time, he went to occupy a post on Nuzha Street in Haifa, hit by a bullet in his belly, was transferred to Borochov Hospital on Mount Carmel And died there three hours later, he was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Haifa.
