Son of Barka and Shimon, born on the 11th of Kislev 5765 (November 11, 1964) in Kibbutz Givat Haim Hayud in the Hefer Valley, was a gifted and sensitive child, and when he was a child he had a strong tendency to paint. He was very fond of cinema, and in his Bar Mitzvah year he made an animated film produced by the photography and animation studios at Kibbutz Ein Gedi, where he studied at the kibbutz elementary school and continued his studies at the Hof Hacarmel Regional High School near Kibbutz Ma’agan Michael. There he was praised by his teachers, especially in the fields of art and cinema, but not all of the teachers managed to get in. On the 27th of Adar 5743 (11.3.1983) he fell during his service. He was 18 years old when he died. Navot was laid to rest in his kibbutz, Givat Hayim-Ihud. He left behind his parents and two brothers: his twin brother, and a man 11 years his junior.
