Son of Gina and Avraham, was born on February 8, 1960 in Hadera, where the family lived in the Givat Olga neighborhood, where Shalom received his first education, and when he was seven years old, his older brother fell in the Six Day War. Was deeply impressed by his sense of peace, admired his soldier brother, looked forward to his arrival home, and when the brother was killed, Shalom shut himself up, sad and sensitive, and when he was nine years old his family moved to Hadera, , And graduated from the Hadera Municipal High School and was a member of Maccabi Hatzair and the Maccabi Hadera sports association, where Shalom played soccer in the youth group and served as its head coach At school, Shalom discovered love for the Bible. He played a guitar, wrote poems, and in a collection he left after his death were poems he wrote from the age of 16. In his melancholy songs, Shalom expressed inner beauty and deep emotion. He loved music, and used to say that the violin made him drunk. Those who knew him closely said that “when he played his guitar, his Lev strings and guitar strings were intertwined.” He serenely serenely and serenely. In August 1978 Shalom enlisted in the Israel Defense Forces, and as a member of a bereaved family, he was not assigned to a combat unit but to the rank of sergeant. Shalom was appointed as a guide to young soldiers at the base of the Intelligence Corps, but at the same time he contracted a malignant disease. For one year he struggled for his life, underwent difficult treatments in Israel and abroad, and on the 18th of Cheshvan 5742 (15.11.1981) passed away. He was 21 years old when he died. The commander of his unit wrote to his parents: “Shalom served in a unit in a position that required great knowledge, dedication and unlimited responsibility, and he carried out his task successfully and without reservation.” Shalom was laid to rest at the Hadera military cemetery. He left behind his parents, three brothers and a sister. After his death, his family published a booklet of poems he wrote during his short life.
