Son of Menashe and Yocheved. He was born on 20 July 1927 in Afghanistan, where he studied in the “cheder” and immigrated to Israel in 1949. After his parents arrived in Israel he worked and supported them, and was drafted into the IDF in April 1950. He fell in battle at the Jordan River near the Sea of ​​Galilee On the 26th of Nissan 5711 (May 2, 1951) and was laid to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
