Hartstein, Abraham
Son of Hanna and Natan was born on February 15, 1928 in the city of Mukachevo, Carpathian Russia, and was educated in an environment of Jewish roots and workmen. He recognized the fate of the persecuted Jew in exile as a boy when the rope was returned to the Hungarians, who emphasized their ownership and sovereignty in oppressing the Jews. He was then taken with other Jews to concentration and extermination camps. From Schnitzel and returned, he found his place of birth empty of Jews. Avraham joined the Zionist pioneering training program of the Torah va – Avodah movement in the city of Novi – Zamki, Slovakia, and from there, through the “escape route”, arrived in Palestine in July 1946 on the illegal immigrant ship Ha – Hayyal Haivri. From the Atlit camp he went to a group of “branches” of Hapoel Hamizrachi. Founded the “Mishor” group together with his friends and joined it to settle in Kibbutz Beerot Yitzhak in the Negev. Where he joined the battle with his brother Moshe, was injured in a sniper duel and calmly and bravely breathed his breath. The last one was on the 15th of Tammuz 5708 (15.7.1948). He was buried in the wells of Isaac. On the 20th of Cheshvan 5710 (October 31, 1950) he was transferred to the eternal rest of the military cemetery at Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
