Harry, Daniel
Daniel, son of Meir and Ethel Harry, was born on July 28, 1931 in London, England. During the Second World War he was transferred with tens of thousands of children and youth to a rural environment. When he immigrated to Israel with his parents and two sisters in 1950, he went to the Geva group where he began working in the orchards. He moved to Jerusalem to study Hebrew and prepare for university, and in August 1953 he joined the IDF. Daniel showed devotion and loyalty to his position. He fell in the line of duty on 20 Adar (25.3.1954) and was brought to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
