He was remembered as a shy, quiet, and timid child, and yet, because he radiated great light, warmth and love, he was loved by everyone and enjoyed great popularity among friends and teachers. Here, too, he starred in the lead roles in the plays staged by the school and became an object of admiration. At the end of fifth grade, Shai moved to the Neveh Hadar elementary school in Netanya, where he discovered his love for football. Shai was always attracted to sports and excelled in various sports, but football, it turned out, was at the top of the ladder. Shai was a talented soccer player, he played for Maccabi Natanya and Betar Tubu Netanya, and began to pick medals and trophies, and in Netanya he also discovered the sea and fell in love with him – a great and fateful love. Neve Hadar wrote about Shai Morio: “A disciplined student who works beautifully. Exercises in the full notebook account. An indefatigable football player, in the future his name in the sports section appears. Blue eyes and an angel smile, but be careful not to fall into the trap … “Shai chose to continue his studies at the Johanna Jabotinsky Youth Village in Be’er Yaakov, where he studied graphic design and art. : He worked as a fan of the “Maccabi Tel Aviv” football team, dressed in veils and flags, came to the courts to watch the games, and was even photographed with Shay was a handsome boy, full of joy, the girls’ love, and wherever he went, they looked at him in leisure, except for the ball He liked to watch television, spend time with friends, read the sports section of the paper and go to the sea, and he completed his studies with a high degree of achievement and a technological diploma, and Shai always dreamed of serving in the Border Police, He was assigned to the “Judea and Samaria” unit and served as a Border Guard soldier in Hebron, and was devoted to his job, admired for his friends and commanders, and was proud of his contribution. Even with his sisters, Daniel and Ofra, Shai had a close relationship, and when Daniel’s eldest daughter, Lotan, was born, and Shai became David, he knew no borders. “When my eldest daughter was born Shai was so Simcha and Simcha that he went to all the stores and bought everything he could – from clothes and toys to sweet ones, and brought his niece Lotan to turn him into a uncle. With the uniform, to see Lotan. ” Shai was about to complete three years of regular service. The date of his release was approaching, and his face was already drawn forward – towards the long-awaited trip abroad, Daniel recalls: “A week before his death, his friend married. Shai was so excited for the friend,And accompanied him to the shop to buy clothes for the wedding. Every evening he did not stop dancing, enjoying, rejoicing and smiling. A few days before his release from the army he came home on vacation, sat down in the living room and sighed as if something was going through him. I asked him if something was bothering him and he said, ‘Just something that happened to me today. Shai’s friend, the new groom, urged him to come to the beach with him, but he was Simcha, took a towel, and the two went to the sea, where Shai loved the disaster. Of deep sleep, and Shai lay on his sickbed for nearly two years, with his family around him, caring for him with dedication, hoping and waiting for him to wake up, and on the 18th of Adar 5767 (18 March 2007) Twenty-four First Sergeant Shay Shanda Hanukhayev was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Pardes Hanna-Karkur and left his parents, two sisters and a brother. A year and nine months ago I received the most bitter news of my life. You were on vacation, a week before you were discharged from the army, and the whole family sat together in the living room and said that when you were free you would go to Eilat, you had plans, you planned a future, you knew a good girl and all the future was in front of you. The family, to see you lying helpless and unconscious, without your smile, without looking into your Yaffa eyes, I did not even want to believe that it was you, my Yaffa and precious brother You know that for me you were everything – you always worried about me, protected me and never let me hurt, And this time you could not help me, you were a big brother, supportive and listening to me, and it was in the recent period that we came so close and needed you, You were the light of the family, my mother’s favorite child, you had such good qualities, a quiet, gentle, loving child who did not hurt others. I’ve burned all the songs you love the most and played them for you, even recording ourselves in the hope that our voices will wake you up and come back to us … Remember always how much I loved you and kept your mother and father above you and your brothers. The great space you left in your death. They say that water is a sign of life, but in your case the water brought you to death. “Daniel, Shai’s older sister, began to write things in his memory, but she could not complete them:” This is the end of this chapter of my life. It has ended and gone, and a circle of childhood has been closed. And cheerful adulthood. Frida is always difficult … I hope that I knew how to use the time with you correctly and that I was able to learn and internalize your wonderful behavior. I stand in the moment of parting with mixed feelings. I stay here, worry, and hope that even where you are … “Shay’s estate has many medals and trophies that he has won in the soccer competitions he participated in, as well as certificates of excellence in various sports
