Hananashvili, Yaakov (Gala)


Son of Raya and Aharon. He was born on February 1, 1965, in Georgia, where he immigrated to Israel with his family, where he settled in Nazareth Illit, and was accepted to study at the Chabad school in the second grade. He acclimatized with his contemporaries and integrated into the school framework. After graduating from elementary school, he applied for high school in the Afula High School, in the field of electrical engineering. He completed his matriculation exams in the summer of 1982. Yaakov was a member of the Hanoar Haoved movement. He devoted his spare time to sports, participated in competitions and races, and won medals. He hoped to be a physical education teacher in the future. In addition to his outstanding talents in sports, he also had talent in painting. He used to embed biblical verses in his paintings. During his free time he would go on trips around the country. Yaakov was drafted into the army in March 1983. He was assigned to serve in the Armored Corps, but after the death of the father, he was forced to serve in a unit near the house, and was discharged from the army in June 1986. Yaakov was called to reserve duty in November 1988 And fell during his service on 27 November 1988. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Nazareth Illit, and his mother, two brothers, Michael and Danny and a sister,
