Hameiri (Meirovitch), Benjamin

Benjamin, son of Yosef and Malka Hameiri, was born on December 20, 1935 in Jerusalem, where his parents immigrated to Israel from the Czech Republic. He was drafted into the IDF (July 1953), where he served as a patrolman in a combat unit. On 5 Tishrei, 10.9.1956, Benjamin fell in battle near Dweima. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
