Hamami, Ofir
Ben Ilana and Hananiah. Ophir was born in Rehovot on the 28th of Tammuz 5738 (28.7.1978). He acquired his basic education at the Sarid school. In the junior high school he studied at the Amos de Shalit School of Education, and in high school he attended the Ort high school in his city, Ophir was active in the Scout movement and served as a youth counselor and center. Ophir joined the IDF in 1996 and served in the Artillery Corps as a combat soldier. After completing his military service, Ophir turned to civilian life, and until 2003 he moved to various places of work, mainly serving as a senior instructor in the Gan Regional Council In 2003 he volunteered for the Israel Police Service, but at first he moved to Habla, but due to an injury, he was transferred to the Criminal Identification Department in the Yarkon area of Tel Aviv Spring. In this part of his life, too, he was accompanied by a sense of humor, and he acquired many new friends. Staff Sergeant Ofir fell during the performance of his duties on the 24th of Adar 5765 (1.4.2005). He was twenty-seven when he fell. He was laid to rest on Sunday at the military cemetery in Rehovot.
