Hamami, Benjamin-Zvi

Zvi, son of Rachel and Menachem, was born on January 30, 1953 in Moshav Heletz. From an early age he worked in the farm and invested his best in nurturing him. The parents, who were not in a better state of health, were unable to work the hard land, and Zvi joined the development of the small farm and the help of the extended family. He completed his studies at the Rabbi Kook School in Moshav Telamim. And to help the family did not continue his studies. The hard work fell mostly on his shoulders both when he was a student and later. Zvi was a nice and pleasant boy. His parents had a devoted and faithful son, and to his friends he was a friend of truth, a person of their own good and Simcha in the joy of all. On his own, stubbornly and energetically, Zvi succeeded in promoting the economy, and the great admiration of the moshav people was felt when they saw how the young boy did jobs that he and his elders found difficult. Zvi was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in mid-June 1971. After completing his basic training, he completed courses for heavy truck drivers and armored vehicles, and was assigned to an armored unit in the south of the country. Every day of Zevi’s holiday was a holiday for a family that was proud of Son of and his brother when the Yom Kippur War broke out and Zvi was stationed with his unit in Sinai, and he participated in the braking battles On October 24, 1973, after two weeks of fighting and crossing the Suez Canal, Half-track, deer served at a staff member tour of the city of Suez. The Minister of Defense, Lieutenant-General Moshe Dayan, said: “Please allow me to participate with all my Lev in the mourning of the late Tzvi.” Sergeant Zvi Hamami, of blessed memory, gave his life for his homeland.
