Ben Esther and David. He was born on the 7th of Cheshvan 5737 (7.11.1973) in Holon. A second son of a family of three. Arik attended the Moshe Hess Elementary School in Holon and the Ayalon High School in the biological track. Eric was a friendly boy, surrounded by friends. He devoted time to his friends, listened carefully to everyone, gave advice and offered help. His love of living was particularly conspicuous. He was active in an animal organization and tried to influence his friends in the school and his friends in the army. He liked to play sports, especially in running, and achieved achievements at school competitions. Erik had a desire for perfection, and on every subject he was determined. At the beginning of August 1992, Arik was drafted into the army, was assigned to the infantry corps, completed basic training, and was sent to a training course at the 4th Infantry Training Base. Arik received the rank of corporal and was assigned to serve at the training base. Was full of satisfaction from his position as a lieutenant colonel and stood out in his human attitude as commander. According to his commander, Arik was highly motivated, and he aspired to advance to the officers’ course. This aspiration was realized and at the beginning of December 1993, Arik began an officer’s course as a cadet. According to his commanders in the course, Erik was already showing professionalism and knew the material. On the 17th of Tevet 5744 (December 17, 1993), he fell while serving, and was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Holon, leaving behind his parents, brother-in-law and sister Gilo. To the bereaved family, the commander of the officers ‘school wrote: “Arik died as a cadet in an officers’ course. He began his army service in the infantry, continued his service in a commanders’ course, and was a counselor at the primary school for recruits. Arik fulfilled his duty to the people and the state with dedication and loyalty. Was a very sensitive soldier and commander, who created a good atmosphere around his surroundings. He is fond of his friends and comrades, his commanders and subordinates. “
