Halfon, Haim

The only son of David and Mendina. He was born in 1937 in Tripoli, Libya, where he studied at the Talmud Torah and in the Italian school and was a member of the Scout movement, and he immigrated to Israel with his mother in 1950. He was trained to support his old mother and was forced to stop his academic studies and learn a profession of manual labor, he learned carpentry and found his bread. On the 23rd of Adar 5707 (6.3.1956) he fell while fulfilling his duties and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
