Hajirat, Ali


Ben Fatma and Tawfiq. Was born on 10 January 1972 in the Bedouin village of Bir al-Maksur. He studied in the elementary school in his village and later in the ORT high school in the town. He was pleasant, disciplined and loved by all those around him, and was careful to fulfill all his parents’ requests. Eli has had a tendency to sport since childhood and has focused on two areas: karate and soccer. His studies in karate circles gave him two black belts. During his high school studies, he joined the Maccabi soccer team, where he was placed as a defense pioneer and became the mainstay of the team. Ali is considered an outstanding footballer, and everyone is looking forward to a bright future. Thanks to his leadership he swept his friends behind him and together they set up a soccer team in the village. Ali made sure to raise morale in the group and in his absence from any game, his friends refused to play. Eli decided to volunteer for army service and enlisted in early February 1990. He passed a track and was assigned to the infantry, and in July 1994 he joined the ranks of the regular army and continued to serve as a search sergeant. During his service he was brought to eternal rest in the Masur al-Makhman cemetery after his body was found in Nesher, and he was survived by his parents and seven brothers and sisters: Muna, Adnan, Jawaher, Talga, Marwan, Muhand and Muhammad. Chief of Staff Amnon Lipkin-Shahak wrote: “Ali, of blessed memory, served as a tracker in the ‘Amakim’ Brigade of the ‘ And was described by its commanders against a disciplined and dedicated man who displayed great motivation for military service, was admired and accepted by his commanders and friends alike. ” His family received a certificate of appreciation and honor from Major General Gideon Shefer, the head of the IDF’s manpower division, who said: “Sergeant Ali Tawfiq Hogirat served in the IDF’s permanent service, and Ali saw his service as a mission and carried it with devotion and love.” Commander of the unit where he served, wrote to the family: “The premature death of your son shocked us with astonishment … We, his commanders and friends, remember Ali as a soldier doing his job as a search for the best.”
