Haizer, Zvi (Herman)
Son of Betty (Zelda) and Meir. He was born in 1929 in Botoshen, Romania, and grew up in Bucharest, where he was sent by the Gordonia youth movement to the Haganah, where he served as a guide for the Gordonia movement in the dangerous passages of the Alps. On July 7, 1946, he fell in the Alps while carrying out his duties and was also laid to rest. On a pile of rocks lying on his grave is written “Hermann Haisser – a guide.” His memory was immortalized in the booklet “Dror Habonim” by Kibbutz Solelim. An investigation conducted in 2017 found that his resting place was unknown. His other name is Hermann. This fallen hero is a “maklan” – a hero whose burial place is unknown.
