Haimov, Michael
An only son of Maya and Robert. He was born on March 3, 1975 in the former Soviet Union, where he grew up and was educated. In 1990 he immigrated to Israel with his family. Michael joined the IDF in late May 1993, and after completing his basic training he went on a driving course, while Michael fell in service in a car accident on September 4, 1993 and was laid to rest in the Netanya military cemetery. “In a condolence letter to the family, the unit commander wrote:” It is difficult to find words to comfort a family that has lost its most precious asset. Your son Haimov Michael, blessed memory, served in the unit for two months, and throughout the period he stood out as a quiet guy with perseverance and a strong desire to succeed in the course. But tragic and sad is that when he fulfilled some of his wishes: immigration to Israel, acclimatization and absorption in a new country and service in the Israel Defense Forces, like any citizen of his age, his life was cut short by accident.
