Haimov, Menachem
Son of Tamara and Yitzhak. Born on April 13, 1983 in Jerusalem, he studied in Jerusalem, at the Brandt State Religious School in the Neve Ya’akov neighborhood, and in the “Youth Village” high school. His devotion to this field, as well as computers, continued to the 13th and 14th grades, and Menachem was a quiet man whose content was as good as helping others to be one of the main values he attached to. Menachem was drafted into the IDF in July 2001, and at the end of a month of general training he began to study in grades 13-14. After his graduation, in September 2003, he began his service in the Israel Air Force and served in the IAF. 108. His commander: “From the first day of Menachem We met his qualities: pleasant, penetrating hearts and willing to volunteer for any easy or difficult task. We learned about the way he was educated and the values he absorbed at home. “He was greatly appreciated and even told that only once every few years did a soldier like him arrive, a soldier every commander would like under his command. In the course of his duties on 18 May 2004, he was twenty-one years old and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem, leaving his parents, sister and two brothers. Everyone, quiet and shy, never complained about anything. You have always been kind to your friends and educators, and at every opportunity you can help or at least offer your help. We love you and we will always remember you. You must say: ‘The Lord will not lift my Lev and do not blind my eyes and I will not walk in greatness and wondrous than me.’ That cursed day in which you are taken from us and your last moments will be etched in our hearts. “(This page is part of the Yizkor memorial project, which was held by the Ministry of Defense)
