Hai, Ariel

Ariel, son of Dina and Yoram Hai, was born on February 1, 1983 in Be’er Sheva. When he joined the IDF on 12 November 2001, Ariel was assigned to the Golani Brigade, and after completing basic training and advanced training, he arrived at the training unit in the “Egoz” unit and was an outstanding soldier. Ariel fell in the line of duty on June 19, 2002 in a road accident when he and his friends went for a night training in a Hummer vehicle. In Wadi Salameh, in the Karmiel area, the Hummer drove off its route, bumping into a tree and turning over. Ariel was killed on the spot. Ariel was laid to rest in the Kiryat Shaul military cemetery. Survived by parents and two brothers.
