Hagag, Moshe


Moshe ben Said and Hiriya was born on the 27th of Adar, April 30, 1957 in Moshav Porat. As part of a large family of twelve boys and girls, Moshe often assumed the role of counselor to his brothers and younger sisters. He was a devoted and loyal son to his parents and always did what he wanted. Moshe was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in March 1975. After completing basic training he was trained in various courses and sent to the base of the Armored Corps in the north of the country, where he was a disciplined and devoted soldier and accepted by everyone. His job was carried out with great responsibility and dedication and was loved by all the soldiers and commanders in the unit. On the 19th of Nissan, April 19th, 1976, Moshe fell while serving in the north of Israel and was laid to eternal rest in the cemetery in Tel Mond. Moshe leaves behind him, parents, 5 brothers and six sisters. His family donated a Torah scroll in his memory to the synagogue in his neighborhood.
