Haefrati, Joseph
Joseph (Yossi), son of Shifra and Simcha, was born on March 15, 1931, in Tel Aviv. he lent his hand to a political force close to his views, and in order to be whole with this activity, he also had to take a personal part in the risks of war. He must have believed that his personal danger would give him the moral right to criticize and accuse him. When he moved to Tel Aviv, he was transferred from the Jerusalem Brigade to the Command and Headquarters School, where he taught literature while in reserve duty, and was not sent during the war, even to lecture at the outposts. And on April 16 he was finally sent to lecture to soldiers in the Golan Heights, on the 17th of that morning he went to the Tel-Antar post in the Syrian enclave, A strange fate made sure that the last person he spoke to before his death was a member of Kibbutz Gesher (where his sister lives) – the commander of the outpost Eitan Broshi. When Yossi approached the bunker, where the soldiers were waiting for his lecture, Yossi was killed on the threshold of the entrance to the bunker (Simcha passed away on the way to the house),
