Hadasey, Yonatan
Ben Miri and Yosef. Was born in the early afternoon of the 14th of Sivan 5785 (May 3, 1985) in the “Haemek” hospital in the Jezreel Valley. He grew up, grew up and grew up in Kibbutz Merhavia. Jonathan was the eldest in the family. Later, the family unit grew and Yonatan was joined by two sisters – Sharon and Eden. Already in his early childhood, in the sixth of the children’s home in the kibbutz (the Ofra nursery), Yonatan stood out in his great playfulness and examined his personality. As a natural leader, he led the six to acts of mischief, but as in the rest of his life, they were always at the limit of good taste. Later, in the kindergarten, brave friends formed together with Arnan Raz and Amit Grossman, companies that will accompany Jonathan until his last day. From the kindergarten, the children moved to the “Ofakim” elementary school in the kibbutz and from there to the “Amakim” educational institution at Kibbutz Mizra, where Yonatan was a good student but devoted most of his efforts to social life, to activities in Hashomer Hatzair, And all of them remember how he decided to take a bicycle trip from Kibbutz Merhavia to Kinneret, and with his determination he succeeded in harnessing the children of the kibbutz and their parents, and so he set out on a two-day trip. He learned to play classical guitar and persisted for six years, at the age of sixteen he switched to electric guitar and began playing music He played drums at the music hall of Kibbutz Mizra, and founded musical ensembles for school performances and holiday parties on the kibbutz, where he still has videos of his music and singing at concerts at the school. He also played in the Hapoel Migdal HaEmek soccer team, and specialized in long runs, and he was characterized by a wide heart, pleasant manner and great modesty, enjoying a vibrant social life and quiet leadership. He was always surrounded by friends and friends who appreciated him and knew he was destined for greatness. He was a warm and loving man who could wisely divide his time between his family and Tam-his girlfriend for four years, without neglecting his friends. His nickname, as written in the yearbook, was “The Man.” When he was about to enlist, Yonatan began preparing himself for the army, knowing he was joining an elite unit of the Israel Defense Forces. During the course he maintained great optimism and was determined to finish it despite the difficulties. During and after the training, Yonatan participated in operational activities, and he used to say “there is work to do and someone has to do it.” On the 57th Independence Day of the State of Israel, Yonatan received a certificate of excellence for his contribution to the unit and for personal and professional excellence. Brig. Gen. Amir Baram (then commander of the unit) noted the determination and courage of Yonatan and his success in leading his team and his unit to achievements in the ongoing war against the terrorist organizations. In July 2006, when the Second Lebanon War broke out, Yonatan immigrated with his unit to Lebanon. A force from the Magellan unit set out for the ridge near the village of Maroun al-Ras and its mission was to paralyze the sources of fire towards Avivim and Safed. On the morning of 19 July 2006, the force encountered Hezbollah terrorists. During the encounter, the force was at a disadvantage compared to the enemy, but the fighters stormed bravely and fought face-to-face with the terrorists. During the battle, Yonatan was hit in the head and fell. His good friend, First Sergeant Yotam Gilboa, was summoned to rescue him, and with great devotion tried to save him. In this bold attempt Yotam sacrificed his life and fell too. Jonathan HoveTo rest in the cemetery in his kibbutz, Merhavia, with hundreds escorting him on his last journey.
