Hadar, Israel (“Bagel’e”)


Son of Moshe and Malka. He was born on November 14, 1925 in the Ukraine in Russia. The family owned the family for six months. After completing his studies at the “Bilu” elementary school, he studied at the Montefiore Technical School until he completed his studies there, but during those years he did not make do with work and studies alone, but joined the army and at the age of eighteen – . From now on he did not know civilian life. He rose to a rank and during the War of Independence served as a platoon commander and deputy company commander. In addition to combat positions, he also served as a training officer for the Harel Brigade, and even guided a squad commander during the course of the IDF’s preparations for the Armored Corps, and all his commanders, members and subordinates knew how to evaluate him. Twice he went abroad to continue his studies in a military school. Shortly before the Sinai Campaign, he took command of an armored unit and successfully took control of it. He was quick to understand and acted confidently in all his actions. Full of activity, initiative and energy, the spirit of every program, exemplary organizer, outstanding discipline. He reached the rank of lieutenant colonel. Died on his illness on the 18th of Shevat 5717 (January 20, 1957) and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. He left a wife and two daughters. The Armored Corps Headquarters issued a pamphlet in his memory.
