Hadad, Yitzhak Yehuda

Son of Zehaya and Avraham, he was born on July 7, 1963, in Acre. In 1950 his parents emigrated from Tunis and settled in Acre. He was four years old in a family of six children. When he was three years old, he was orphaned from his mother and his father cared for his small children. Despite the difficult situation in his home, his father was careful about his education. He studied at the “Yavneh” school in Acre, completed his elementary studies at the Rambam School of Education, went on to junior high school at the Kennedy School and then moved to the vocational training school in Carmiel, where he studied for three years, He adopted an independent way of life, a quiet, self-contained boy who dealt alone with his problems. His friends called him “Chico”. He played very little, liked to study and work, loved sports and worked in the framework of the Institute for Physical Development in Acre. He underwent basic training and was assigned to the Border Police. During his service he took advantage of his days off, and worked in his profession to help his family. By nature, Yitzhak tended to help others, especially his family and the elderly. He loved caring for domestic animals. When the Peace for Galilee War broke out, Yitzhak was in a driving course. The course ended and Yitzhak-Yehuda left with his unit in Lebanon. He was stationed at the Military Government in Tire and was employed in routine security. On the 25th of Cheshvan 5743 (11.11.1982), following the explosion of a gas container in the military government building in Tire, the house collapsed and buried its inhabitants. Among them was Yitzhak-Yehuda. He was 19 years old when he died. Yitzhak was laid to rest in the cemetery in Acre. He left behind a father, four brothers and a sister.
