In addition to his many pursuits, he was very attracted to music and listened attentively to it, and after completing his studies he had a long period of time until his enlistment in the family farm. He enjoyed life and was able to enjoy it, and his smile, his pleasant manner and his many talents made him an object of admiration for many, and he also knew the great love he had given both to his family and to his friends. He did not talk much about the distant future, preferring to enjoy as much as possible every minute, exhausting it to the fullest, and when asked about the future he would always say, “It will be all right.” Even if he did not talk much about his military ambitions, it was clear that he would choose the combat path. At the end of March 1993, Guy joined the IDF, underwent basic training and was trained as a combat soldier. Later on, he underwent additional courses, including a platoon commander’s course and a battalion ties course, where he served in an auxiliary company of the Golani unit in the infantry battalion and served in Lebanon. Throughout his military service, he received the support of his family, which gave him warmth and love. Every visit to his home, whether in the framework of a short “Apter” or a weekend, became a celebration. The attention and the many luxuries he received at home helped him to return to the first line with renewed strength. Guy was a candidate for an officers’ course thanks to the opinion of his commanders who believed he could serve as a platoon commander. On the 15th of Tishrei 5756 (October 15, 1995) Guy left with a Golani Brigade force to deliver supplies to an armored force that was parked five kilometers away. The force moved on a dirt road from the Reihan outpost to the settlement in the eastern sector of the security zone. The APC was traveling on a roadside bomb planted by Hizbullah, and Guy was critically wounded and died of his wounds at the Rambam Hospital in Haifa. Captain Yossi Ohana, Staff Sergeant Eyal Sameh, Staff Sergeant Eyal Dror, Sergeant Yotam Inbar and Sergeant Yair Barak were killed. Guy was laid to rest in the military section of the Beit Shemesh cemetery. He was twenty-one years old when he fell. Survived by his parents, four sisters – Orit, Vered, Naama and Oshrat – and Eviatar. After his death he was promoted to the rank of First Sergeant. After his death, extensive articles were published in the press about the battle, including lines of his image. Guy, who served as a brigade sergeant in the First Pioneers Battalion, has been a strong and relaxed man, but professional in every field he has dealt with. His demands from his soldiers were very high, but at the same time he always knew how to teach, to educate and to lead, he was a key figure in the department and in the company in general, always with a smile on his face, listening, studying and correcting. The deputy commander of the Golani Brigade eulogized him: “The eyes see, but the heart refuses to believe, you have always stood out in the leadership that is inherent in you.. You were also strong in your character. You never broke. You always walked forward with a lot of joy. Dror, who was the platoon commander you loved and was a brother, was killed two days before your life was cut off … When you were lying still, you were still struggling, and when you got to the hospital, we thought you could be dead … You, who loved life and life, That their lives were cut off with you … “” Shalom, my brother, Golani fighter. ” “The company you loved, the concern you cared about, the example you gave, and the awareness you left – carved out your beloved image among us, I will not forget the hours we spent, you and I, in the middle of nowhere – surrounded. We have always known how to find the time to laugh and pass the time as only we, the members of the ‘helper’ know. ” His family wrote in his memory: “Every trip to your home has turned that day into a holiday, prepare for the arrival of the prince, and in your olive uniform, with a bag on your back and rifle, you would come in and smile your beautiful smile.
