Hadad, Aryeh-Yosef


Son of Israel (Mikyk) and Hannah. He was born on May 19, 1948 in Tunisia, where he immigrated to Israel in 1950, and after Yosef attended the “Magles” elementary school and completed his studies in a pedagogic high school. In May 1967, was drafted into the Golani Brigade and served in compulsory military service. He died at the hospital in Safed on September 7, 1968, while fulfilling his duties. He was brought to eternal rest in Moshav Beit Hagadi. The commander of his unit wrote his parents a letter of condolence and wrote: “Yosef served in the unit as a jeep driver, a difficult and responsible role, and he fulfilled his duties in the best way possible, while showing dedication and responsibility. At the time when the soldiers and commanders of the unit were severely beaten in the “Yishai Israel” memorial booklet issued by the Federation of Moshavim of Hapoel Hamizrachi, his memory was raised.
