Chaim, son of Nizima and Ezra, was born on the 26th of Kislev 5713 (26.11.1952) in Kiryat Ekron. He studied there at the “son of-Zvi” elementary school and later completed his studies at the ORT vocational high school in Rehovot, with the aim of mechanical training. Chaim was an energetic and vigorous boy. As a child, was a lot of pranks and pranks, but after his father died and he remained the only man in the house, he changed his behavior. He helped his mother manage the household and education of his younger sisters, who had not only a brother but also a guide, a counselor and a friend. Haim was an outstanding student and loved mainly the Bible, literature and mathematics, and he read many books in order to increase his knowledge, and he believed that a person who wanted to succeed in his life had to increase his studies and make sure to acquire an education. He aspired to continue his studies at the university, but he could not fulfill his dream: Haim was an honest man who pursues truth and justice and developed a worldview and when he believed that his opinions and positions were correct he would defend them with determination and uncompromisingness. He was known for his generosity and kindness, always willing to help He was also an outstanding athlete, especially in the soccer field, liked to watch football games and often participated in competitions and sports meetings. Haim was drafted into the IDF in early February 1971 and assigned to the infantry brigade of the Golani Brigade, after which he was sent to serve in one of its battalions and participated in training and operational activities in the northern sector. When the Yom Kippur War broke out, he was on vacation in his home, and he rushed to report to his unit, which took part in the battles against the Syrians in the Golan Heights On October 27, 1973, Haim was killed in the shelling of our forces, He was brought to rest in the cemetery in Rishon LeZion, leaving behind a mother and two sisters Rose to the rank of sergeant.
