Hachum, Aaron


Their son was the firstborn of Nissim and Esther. He was born in 1940 in the city of Sauerg, Turkey, and in 1949 immigrated to Israel with his parents and the family settled in Jerusalem. Aharon went to the Or Haim elementary school in Jerusalem and after graduating Aaron went to the kibbutz, but after a few months he was forced to return home due to pressure from his parents. From an early age, he aspired to independence and indeed acted and achieved achievements on his own. Aharon was conscripted into the Israel Defense Forces in February 1958 and completed his regular service with honor, and at the age of twenty-eight married a wife and moved to Holon in 1971. Aharon was a devoted brother and continued to look after his brother after leaving the house. (2/11/1972), was killed in the course of his duty as a reserve soldier and was put to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem, and placed a wife and two children in a letter of condolence to his parents: “He was a dedicated and disciplined soldier , Who knew how to overcome personal privacy problems and to do what was best and exemplary. The unit, with all its soldiers and commanders, is full of sorrow and participates in the mourning of the family. “
