Habiba, Yigal (“Yagil”)


Son of Ephraim and flourished. He was born in 1948 in Magdiel, studied at the elementary school in Magdiel and at the Kfar Avraham High School in Petach Tikvah, and was interested in sports, photography and loved to go on trips and tours, and was loved by everyone he knew. And every time he happened he would help with the work of the agriculture and invest great effort in him, by nature he always aspired to succeed, and at the end of February 1966 he was drafted into the IDF. Although he had planned various plans for his occupation after his release, he decided to remain in the career army and continue his army life, which he liked. On the 20th of Sivan 5769 (6.6.1969), he fell in the line of duty and was put to rest in the cemetery in Kiryat Shaul, and his commander wrote a letter of condolences to his parents, stating that “Yigal performed his duties efficiently and with dedication. He was often praised by his commanders. His death caused me, his immediate commanders and his comrades in the unit, great sorrow and pain. We loved him and many hopes we hung on him. “
