Son of Rudi and Gertrude. Born in Brno, Czechoslovakia on March 28, 1920. After graduating from the Gymnasium, he immigrated to Eretz Israel and was accepted as a student at the Hebrew Technion in Haifa, and at the outbreak of World War II he was one of the first volunteers in the British army. 1942 A special unit of the “Special Investigations Group” was set up in the desert area of ​​Egypt, and was joined with eleven other Jewish youths from Germany and two German prisoners who declared their opposition to the Hitler regime. , The unit was invited to participate in a raid on the enemy airfields Was forced to lead a raid on German vehicles to transport them through the German roadblocks and was forced to raid the airport at Darna near Tobruk on June 13, 1942.
