Gvirtz, Shlomo-Michael


Son of Jacob and Leah. He was born on 21.11.1957 in Ramat Gan. He studied at the Yavneh Elementary School, where he continued to graduate from the Haroah High School in Ramat Gan, and was a diligent and disciplined student, and throughout his educational career he stood out as an excellent student. The school and the Gadna. He volunteered at every opportunity to help other people, to donate public figures for charity to all in need. From childhood he loved literature, read books and even wrote. A selection of his works was published in the flyers of the Yavneh school, called Zafririm. Shlomo was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in February 1976. After basic training, he was sent to the Armored Corps in the north of Israel, and he was a responsible and disciplined soldier, and the good qualities that the education at home brought to him came during his military service on Yom Kippur, 6.8.1976) Shlomo-Michael fell during his service. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Nahalat Yitzhak. Survived by his parents, brother and sister. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, the unit commander wrote: “Shlomo served in our unit for a short period of time, but managed to discover the qualities of a dedicated and responsible soldier who fulfills his duties to the satisfaction of his commanders.” His parents set up a study room in the Yavneh elementary school to commemorate him.
