Guy Hasson
Guy Richard, son of Liora and Yaakov Hasson, was born on April 11, 1982 in the village of Kadarim in the north of the country. When he was one month old, the family moved to Naame. In November 2000, Guy enlisted in the IDF and served in the 50th Brigade of the Nahal Brigade in the Bnei Menakim Brigade and worked as a security guard at the Jordan River border crossing in Beit She’an. On July 30, 2006, he was drafted and went to Lebanon with his battalion. On August 13, 2006, the last day of the Second Lebanon War, Guy fell in battle when an anti-tank missile fired by Hezbollah hit the position in which he was killed him on the spot. Guy, aged twenty-four, was laid to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. Survived by his parents, brother, two sisters and his life partner. After his fall he was promoted to the rank of sergeant.
