Gurdockel, David
Ben Olga and Vladimir. Born on the 26th of Tamuz 5768 (26.7.1978) in the city of Czernowitz, Ukraine. David was named after his great-grandfather, a well-known Zionist activist in Ukraine, and grew up in the light of his second grandfather, Boris Sheuftman, a pilot and a lieutenant colonel in the Russian army. From an early age, David discovered great independence. He was drawn to the cars and used to sit on his grandfather’s knees in his car, turn the wheel and picture himself driving. His love for the world of books and stories turned out to be soft. He listened attentively to the stories of the children who read to him and to the records they had played and entertained his family with the fantasy stories he had imagined. He also liked drawing and produced beautiful works.
