Guetta, Eliyahu

Son of Mesika and her luck. He was born in 1937 in the city of Zwara, in Libya, and arrived in Israel in 1950. After a year he arrived at Moshav son of Zakai from the immigrants’ home to which he was brought for the first time. He was a member of the “Hapoel Hamizrachi” movement and was a member of Bnei Akiva and served as a youth counselor, but he was forced to work at a young age to help a family in a poor economic situation. To the satisfaction of the settlers, he was gifted with delicate qualities of the soul and his qualities were virtues – and in their maturity he was admired by all his friends and close F. In August 1955 he was recruited to the IDF. During the Six-Day War, on the third day of the battles, he fell on the outskirts of Jerusalem in Tire and chose to liberate the capital. He left a wife in her pregnancy during the ninth month and when the child was born, his name was called on him. Was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. In the book “On Your Platforms Space” published by comrades in arms, his history was brought. His memory was included in “Yishai Israel”, a memorial booklet commemorating the ten members of Hapoel Hamizrachi who fell on guard duty.
