Grover, Edward (Edek)


Edward, son of Halina and David Grover, was born on June 8, 1925 in the city of Rzeszow, near Lvov, Poland. At the outbreak of World War II he was imprisoned with the other Jews in the ghetto. He immigrated to Israel via Cyprus with his wife and child in 1948. He settled in Tivon and worked in various jobs with pioneering energy. Edward fell in battle near Manara on October 23, 1948 and was buried in Manara. He left a wife, Clara. On the 19th of Av 5710 (2.8.1950) he was transferred to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Haifa.
