Grossmark, Pinchas
Son of Malka and Mordechai, was born on 15 July 1951 in Pardes Hanna. The parents, Holocaust survivors, immigrated from Poland in 1950. At the age of 3 months, Pinchas was orphaned from his father. His mother remarried and had three sons and a daughter. His stepfather raised Pinchas as his son. Pinchas was educated in religious schools. At first, he attended the religious school “Kadima” in Moshav Beit Meir in the mountains of Jerusalem, and later in the “Torah and Malcha” High School in Kfar Avraham, Petah Tikva. In the summer of 1968, when he was about to enlist in the IDF, Pinchas asked to be admitted to a pre-army boarding school for the study of car-electric engineering, and he undertook to serve for one year in the career army, in addition to three years of regular army service.
