Grossman, Baruch
Baruch, son of Bina and Yehoshua, was born in 1945 in Turkmenistan and immigrated with his family in 1950. When the Six-Day War broke out, he was drafted and participated in the war. When the Yom Kippur War broke out he was drafted and sent to Sinai with his unit. He fought bitter battles on the Sinai front and his unit attacked mortars with mortar fire to assist our attacking forces and destroy the enemy’s weapons. In one of the battles in the Tasa area of Sinai, Baruch was critically wounded and rushed to the hospital. On October 21, 1973, he died of his wounds at the hospital. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. He left behind a wife and son. After his fall, he was given the rank of sergeant.
