Grondman, Dan

Dan, son of Greta and Alfred Grondman, was born in 1928 in Essen, Germany, and immigrated to Israel with his parents in 1933. He participated as a liaison in the breakthrough to the Negev settlements, and here he fell in the “Yoav” operation to break through the Negev, near the Hatah Keretia bridge post near Faluja on the 17th of Tishrei, 5709 (October 19, 1948). On the 12th of Tevet, 21.12.1950, he was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Haifa.
