Greenspan, Avigdor (Avi, Vigo, Chavovo)
Avigdor, son of Yosef and Yaffa Greenspan, was born on March 13, 1944 in Neveh Chaim, Hadera. In November 1961, he was drafted into the IDF and served in the Armored Corps, successfully completing a tank commander’s course and continuing his training until he completed his military service. Avigdor served in the Six Day War until he fell in battle in the Golan Heights on the fifth day of the battles, 1 Sivan (9.6.1967). He left a wife in her pregnancy. After the war, a son named after his father was born. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Nahariya and was later transferred to eternal rest in the Kiryat Shaul military cemetery.
