Son of Rivka and Shlomo, was born on January 16, 1916, in the city of Ostrava in the Volhynia region (then – Russia). He graduated from elementary school, and at a young age began to work and help his father. He first heard the gospel of Zionism from his older brother and envied him, and the goal seemed to him far away. In the meantime, World War II broke out with all its decrees and horrors, but it survived. After the war, in Munich, Germany, he underwent military training and at the height of the War of Independence, on August 15, 1948, he arrived in Israel and enlisted immediately. He served in the Negev Brigade. For two months he was in service. For the first time in his life he felt free on free land and expressed his feelings with enthusiasm for his brother who had settled in Argentina. He was sorry he still did not speak Hebrew, but he understood the spirit and beauty of the country. He participated with his battalion in the “Yoav” operation to break the road to the Negev and fell in the attack on Iraq Al-Manshiyya on the 16th of Tishrei, 5709 (October 16, 1948). On the 29th of Tishrei 5710 (29.9.1949), he was laid to rest in the military cemetery at Nahalat Yitzhak.
