Greenberger, Moshe


Moshe Greenberger was born on the 2nd of Nissan, May 25, 1911, in the city of Dubowa, Czechoslovakia. On October 1, 1935 he immigrated to Eretz Israel and joined the Beerot Yitzhak group, which had high religious feelings. He was humble, modest, patient, generous, and devoted to his friends, being an example to others in his personal behavior. Moshe was a devoted husband and father to his two children. After a full days work, he still made time to learn Torah with his children.
After the outbreak of the War of Independence, he was drafted into the army. Even during the battles and shelling he continued to deal with the problems of the kibbutz he lived on, and dreamed of peace and rehabilitation. Moshe died on 8th of Tammuz, (15.7.1948) from an explosion at a post during battle. He was buried in Beerot Yitzchok.. On the 20th of Cheshvan, October 31,1950, he was put to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
