Grebowicz, Fival
Fival, son of Hinka and Eliahu Grebowicz, was born in 1909 in the city of Mishnitz, Poland. He studied in yeshiva. In 1939 he boarded the immigration ship, Colorado.He worked as a milk-seller to support his wife and two small daughters. As a veteran member of the Hagana, Fival served in the elite brigade of the “Kiryati” brigade during the War of Independence. During the “Danny” operation, our forces took control of the Modi’in area, and when the second truce came into force, the area was occupied by forces in the area, one of which was from the 219.
