Gravesch, Aharon

Son of Pinchas and Tzipora. He was born on June 1, 1924 in Poland. He graduated from elementary school. During World War II, he served in the Russian army and participated in the Battle of Stalingrad. In 1947 he sailed on the illegal immigrant ship “Exodus” but was returned with the rest of the passengers to Germany. In 1948 he returned to Israel together with his wife and eldest daughter. Aharon was a port worker. He was drafted into the IDF and fell while performing his duties on the 28th of Av 5710 (11.8.1950) and was brought to eternal rest In the Nahalat Yitzhak military cemetery. He left a wife and two daughters.
