Gozdine, Raphael-Avraham (“Rafi”)


Son of Yosef and Yehudit. Born on 6 November 1937 in Paris, the capital of France, the family immigrated to Israel in 1949. He completed his studies at an elementary school of Kol Israel Haverim and later in high school in evening classes. Was a cooling technician by profession, was a good athlete and his friends called him “the golden Lev.” He was an excellent athlete, boxed and participated in bicycle races, and fell in Sinai during the battle of Abu-Agila on the 27th of March 1957, Was buried in the military cemetery in the town of Beshalach on October 23, 1957. He was transferred to the eternal military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem, Atid “- a bicycle race from Tel Aviv And a corner named after him in an urban youth club in Tel Aviv – with his photograph and the letters of his commander and friends.
